A single split system has one indoor unit connected to one outdoor unit, which is ideal for one room. A multi split system connects two or more indoor units to a single outdoor unit, so you can air condition several bedrooms, an office and a living room without a row of boxes on the wall outside.
Each indoor unit has its own controls, so one room can be cooling while another is set warmer. And because the systems we fit are air to air heat pumps, they heat in winter as well.

It depends on the outdoor unit. Systems commonly run two to four or more indoor units. We size the outdoor unit to the rooms you want to cover.
Can each room have a different temperature?
Yes. Every indoor unit has its own controls, so each room can be set independently.
Is multi split better than separate systems?
It means one outdoor unit instead of several, which looks tidier and often costs less overall. Separate systems give more independence if one ever needs attention.
