Quiet enough
to sleep with

Upstairs bedrooms get the worst of a hot spell. Heat rises, the roof soaks up the sun, and well-insulated newer homes hold that heat long after sunset. Loft conversions and dormer bedrooms are often the hottest rooms in the house.

A wall-mounted split system is the best fix for a bedroom. The indoor unit sits high on the wall and the noisy part, the compressor, is outside. Some of the indoor units we fit run at around 19 to 22 dB(A) on their quietest setting, quieter than a whisper.

Every bedroom air conditioning installation is carried out by our F-Gas certified engineers and priced up front, with supply, installation and commissioning included.

Wall-mounted vs portable

Portable units are loud, need a hose out of the window and struggle to cool a room. A wall-mounted split is quiet and far more efficient.

Loft rooms

Dormer bedrooms and loft conversions heat up fast. A slim wall unit cools them quickly and takes the chill off in winter.

Two or more bedrooms

A multi-split system runs several bedroom units from one outdoor unit, so each room has its own temperature.

Where the outdoor unit goes

On a wall bracket or the ground, positioned away from bedroom windows and neighbours.

Your questions answered

Bedroom air conditioning
FAQs

Is it safe to sleep with air conditioning on?

Yes. Set a comfortable temperature rather than very cold, and use the unit’s sleep or quiet mode, which reduces fan noise and adjusts the temperature gradually overnight.

What size unit does a bedroom need?

Most bedrooms need a small unit, but loft rooms and rooms with big windows may need more power. We size the unit to your room when you get your quote.

Can I have air conditioning in a rented home?

You’ll need your landlord’s permission, and in a leasehold flat the freeholder’s permission for the outdoor unit.

“We had this company to fit AC in our conservatory today. From start to finish they were totally professional, nothing too much trouble. They did the job without any mess and cleaned up afterwards, two polite young men. I would definitely use them again and can thorough recommend this company.”
